GRADUATE APPLICATION

We appreciate your interest in the Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. To apply, please complete the following two applications by the January 6, 2025 deadline for the Fall 2025 semester:

1. UW-Madison Graduate School: Application Portal
   • Available October 1 and due January 6.
   • Complete the Graduate Application online.
   • Ensure all required materials are submitted, including transcripts, resume, statement of intent, residency status, and letters of recommendation.
2. Art Department MFA SlideRoom: Application Portal
   • Available October 1 and due January 6.
   • Access the application through the SlideRoom portal (listed as Program 1).
   • Submit your artist statement, resume or CV, and portfolio (20 images of your most recent work).

Campus Visits

To visit the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, schedule a campus tour through the university’s Campus and Visitor Relations office or by going to UW-Madison Visit .

The Art Department welcomes you to explore our facilities and galleries from Monday through Friday, 8am to 4 pm, to learn more about our programs and resources. Our primary buildings are the George L. Mosse Humanities Building and the Art Lofts Building.
